<p><a href="http://www.cmappers.net/" target="_blank">Cmappers</a> is a site that provides users with a set of tools to:</p>
<ul>
<li>learn about concept mapping, its uses and applications</li>
<li>construct and share concept maps</li>
<li>interact and collaborate with other cmappers</li>
<li>access papers from the CMCs (Concept Mapping Conferences).</li>
</ul>
<p>Cmappers is part of the Knowledge Modeling and Sharing research project at the Insitute for Human and Machine Cognition (<a href="http://www.ihmc.us/">IHMC</a>) with support from <a href="http://www.microsoft.com/">Microsoft Corporation</a>. The site is highly integrated with the CmapTools software for constructing and sharing concept maps. The site will be updated with new tools as they become available.</p>

<p>O <a href="http://www.danielmelo.net/" target="_blank">Daniel Melo Ribeiro</a>, colega de <a href="http://www.pucsp.br/pos/tidd/" target="_blank">Mestrado em Tecnologias da Inteligência e Design Digital</a> (TIDD), acaba de defender a sua dissertação sobre o tema &#8220;Visualização de Dados&#8221; ( <a href="http://www.danielmelo.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/03/dissertacao_final.pdf" target="_blank">aqui</a> ). Seu objetivo era &#8220;investigar aplicações que exploram a visualização de dados como proposta para enfrentar os desafios impostos pelo excesso de informações&#8221;. O tema ainda pouco explorado no Brasil, mas já com bastante bastante aplicações interessantes no exterior. O site  <a href="http://infosthetics.com/" target="_blank">information aesthetics</a> reune vários casos de visualização de dados.</p>
<p>Enxergo na visualização de dados um dos caminhos para formentar a construção do conhecimento no ciberespaço, tanto em nível individual quanto coletivo, já que os dados são as partículas fundamentais do conhecimento. No ciberespaço, esses são processados em tempo real para atender a demandas de infomação e conhecimento de toda ordem em vários nós da Rede. Ora, aumentar a visibilidade da informação provenientes de banco de dados no ciberespaço passa a ser um aspecto crucial para a emergência do conhecimento e da inteligência coletiva.</p>
<p>As possibilidades de uso das tecnologias de visualização de dados são infinitas. Particularmente, tenho interesse em como essas tecnologias podem se integrar aos ambientes virtuais de aprendizagem formais e informais, facilitar a emergência da inteligência coletiva (voluntária e involuntária) e como podem ajudar no processo de gestão do conhecimento.</p>

<p>Este caso da escola inglesa é um ótimo exemplo de integração dos mundos virtuais na sala de aula. Digo isso não pela simples adoção da tecnologia pela tecnologia, mas principalmente pela adequação da metodologia  com o novo perfil cognitivo das crianças, adolescentes e adultos emergentes na Cultura Digital. Uma estratégia pedagógica que coloca em relevo a aprendizagem por exploração pode, no meu entendimento,  representar uma das faces visíveis da ruptura com tradições de aprendizagem reprodutivas para outras baseadas na restruturação do conhecimento.</p>
<p>Agrada-me muito o exemplo da escola inglesa por ser mais coerente com o padrão cognitivo dos <a href="http://74.125.113.132/search?q=cache:Yvdyw3gWkxwJ:www.marcprensky.com/writing/Prensky%2520-%2520Digital%2520Natives,%2520Digital%2520Immigrants%2520-%2520Part1.pdf+digital+natives&amp;hl=pt-BR&amp;ct=clnk&amp;cd=3&amp;gl=br" target="_blank">Nativos Digitais</a>, já que esses, pelo menos é o que os recentes estudos indicam, sofreram alterações em nível cerebral devido à interação com um ambiente saturado de tecnologias digitais, graças a uma propriedade do cérebro chamada <a href="http://www.medterms.com/script/main/art.asp?articlekey=40362" target="_blank">neuroplasticidade</a>. Aprender por exploração é uma das principais características dos Nativos Digitais.</p>
<p>O pressuposto de que um ambiente tecnológico, com seus signos e padrão de comunicação próprios, pode provocar alterações cognitivas e perceptíveis encontra respaldo além da neurobiologia e da neuropsicologia, uma vez que é possível encontrar fundamentação em trabalhos de autores dedicados ao estudo da Comunicação e Mídia. A profa. Lucia Santaella, por exemplo, faz um comentário em seu livro <a href="http://compare.buscape.com.br/culturas-e-artes-do-pos-humano-lucia-santaella-8534921016.html" target="_blank">Culturas e Artes do Pós-humano</a> que nos ajuda a perceber a influência das tecnologias e mídias sobre o homem.</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;(&#8230;) os meios de comunicação, desde o aparelho fonador até as redes digitais atuais, embora não passem de meros canais para a transmissão de informação, os tipo de signos que por eles circulam, o tipos de mensagem que engendram e os tipo de comunicação que possibilitam são capazes não só de moldar o pensamento e a sensibilidade dos seres humanos, mas também de propiciar o surgimento de novos ambientes socioculturais.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
<p>O tenho comentado com colegas de curso e trabalho sobre a necessidade urgente da criação de novos ambientes de aprendizagem  tanto na escola como nas corporações. É inadimíssivel que continuemos mimetizando ambientes de aprendizagem da era dos átomos em plena Cultura Digital.</p>
